Someone from the landlord just phoned. They didn't seem to realise that they'd tried to serve notice on me during the previous phone call. Now they want me to write them a letter giving them a month's notice.

Really they should be writing me a letter. They should have immediately after the previous time they phoned me (serving notice doesn't appear to be valid unless done in writing).

Suddenly this is one month's notice instead of two. But this means I pay less rent. I'm happy with that.
