Definitions:

• 720p = 1280x720 non-interlaced (progressive)
• 1080i = 1920x1080 interlaced
• 1080p = 1920x1080 non-interlaced

Caveats:

• not all 1080p TVs have 1080p TV inputs
• not all 1080p TVs work as a 1920x1080 monitor, even if they accept computer input

My 3½year old imac displays at 1440x900 (not quite 900p as the screen ratio is not 16:9).

That’s not as bad as what I vaguely remembered.

That’s all well and good, but doesn’t air travel cause other environmental damage as well? I’m thinking about toxic compunds and the ozone layer. I want to investigate these further.
